continuum of 3/16"; steel rod which travels 
through a pvc chassis for support. 
May be played with mallets, audience-
tossed coines, or as a feedback source. 
Often used in audience participation pieces. 
Presented on a mobile pedestal 
for use as a "dance partner". 
Main sound source for a 1989 
recording called Scrapercussion
