Pete's Pool Sound and Video Installation
by Dan Senn July 12-19, 1997, opening, Saturday, July 12, 2pm, Free
For many years Pete's Pool was a focal point of social activity
for the people of the Enumclaw Plateau. Within its cold, cold,
cold water, people from towns and farms alike were united in
a community of fun and fellowship created by Pete Chorak's
imagination and entrepreneurship. Now, on a grant from the
King County Arts Commission Hotel-Motel Tax, and with the
support of the Enumclaw Arts Commission, the stories and
poems of this bygone time have been collected for presentation
in an installation of video and sound by Washington State artist
Dan Senn. The exhibition will be located in the stand of old
growth trees where Pete's Pool once bubbled and feature
Plateau residents speaking on video amidst Senn's sounding
sculptures. For more information call the Enumclaw Arts
Commission at (360) 802-0232.
