School Based Reform - Lessons
from a National Study (aka. Why recreate the wheel)
In preparing to become a School which operates under the
Federally sponsored "School-Wide" program,(Title 1), Lochburn Middle
School invited it's scholars parents, community members, and district
administrators to an informational meeting and dialogue session on
Saturday the 28th.
The topics of discussion revolved around School
Organization
Characteristics
Achievement
Curriculum
and
Family and Community


The morning started off with a brief
introduction from Mr. Cameron and Mr. Walter, then we broke into
groups to brainstorm and look at the information gathered during the
previous months.
Then various staff members
presented the information gathered
Following each presentation participants
were asked to place, on sticky notes, questions concerning the
information presented for further study and clarification
