| A Clan Society is the modern day
counterpart of a Scottish Clan. However, it is not a clan or a branch
of one. It is a social organization, a voluntary association of individuals
who share a common history and heritage.
The modern Clan Little Society, Scotland and Worldwide,
was inaugurated on St. Andrew's Day, 1991, in Dumfries, Scotland under
the leadership of Dr. Johnnie C. Little.
The majority of Littles, Lytles and Lyttles in
Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand have their family roots deep in
the old West March of the Scottish Border.
