How Much is 100 Feet?

To celebrate the 100th day of school, our class of 48 1st and 2nd graders wanted to see how much 100 feet was. We all traced and cut out our feet on construction paper and lined them up in the hallway, making a line of 100 feet. We then took an actual 100 foot piece of string and compared it to the line of paper feet.

The Results:

We found that our feet were shorter than the actual 100 foot string measure. We sure learned a lot and had a great time doing all of the counting!

[Editor's Note] The Grade 1/2 team put their multi-colored feet in the hallway going to the gym so all the classes could enjoy and learn from them.
